The Continuum Shaders is undoubtedly regarded as an important component of the game itself as one of the greatest shaders ever made available for the most recent versions of Minecraft.
Let’s face it, the gameplay experience won’t be as pleasant without shaders loaded in your Minecraft world and might even be less rewarding and very dull, as the gameplay aesthetics and graphics are substantially enhanced with the use of these shaders. And this is one of the key factors contributing to shaders’ unique status among Minecraft players.
The Continuum Shaders mod is the way to go if you need a shader that is dependable and can suit your needs because it is one of the greatest shader packs currently on the market and is highly well-liked by the Minecraft community.
Your Minecraft world will have even more natural color and lighting effects with the usage of shader packs like the Continuum Shaders, making the surroundings much more attractive and realistic. Although the Continuum Shaders mod differs from other shaders in that it does not overtax your computer’s GPU, better framerates are still achieved as a result.

System Requirements
Continuum RT Alpha
Continuum RT is quite performance intensive and is also very early Alpha; as such, requirements are fairly high, performance may be highly variable, and there will be missing features and bugs.
Minimum:
- CPU: Nearly any Dual core CPU from intel/AMD made in the last 5-7 years
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or equivalent / AMD RX 580* or equivalent
- RAM: 4GB
- OS: Windows 7, 64-bit or later (MacOS not supported at this time)
Recommended:
- CPU: Quad-core CPU from Intel/AMD from the last 4-5 years or better
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 / RTX 2070 or AMD RX 5700* or better
- RAM: 8GB or more
- OS: Windows 10, 64-bit
Software Requirements:
- RT Builds 1-12 have software requirements, including MC 1.14.4, Optifine F5, 1x shadow quality setting (no lower or higher), and a relatively new graphics driver version.
- RT Builds 13 and higher require the latest version of our Focal Engine and all of its dependent mods, 1x shadow quality setting (no lower or higher), and a relatively new graphics driver version.
Continuum 2.1 Beta
2.1, in general, is more optimized than 2.0, but it includes more advanced effects (and generally more of them).
Minimum:
- CPU: Nearly any Dual core CPU from intel/AMD made in the last 5-7 years
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 / AMD Radeon R9 280X*
- RAM: 4GB
- OS: Windows 7, 64-bit or later (MacOS not supported at this time)
Recommended:
- CPU: Quad-core CPU from Intel/AMD from the last 4-5 years or better
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660/1060 / AMD Radeon RX 580* or better
- RAM: 8GB or more
- OS: Windows 10, 64-bit
Software Requirements:
- Continuum 2.1 Builds 1-12 require Optifine F2 Pre 3 or later.
- Builds 13 and higher require Focal Engine v1.0.5 or later, all of its dependent mods, and a relatively new graphics driver version.
Known Issues:
- In rare cases, resizing the game window can cause minor shader artifacts. If these occur, press F3 and R simultaneously to reload the shader.
Continuum 2.0
Minimum:
- CPU: Nearly any Dual core CPU from intel/AMD made in the last 5-7 years
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 750Ti/ AMD Radeon R7 270X

🔄 Update Logs
v2.0.5
Build Date: 7/10/2022
- Hotfixed – Underground Shadow Fix bug corrected and minor Lava texture issue.
- Fixed – TAA (Temporal Anti Aliasing) on modern graphics cards.
- Fixed Nether and End dimension issues preventing players from seeing with the shader enabled.
- Fixed Bloom was breaking the shader when it was disabled in shader options.
- Added the underground light leak mitigation from Continuum 2.1, enabled by default.
- Enabled the default LUT by default for a more universally pleasing out-of-the-box experience.
- Reworked water’s visual style. It is now smoother, less repetitive, and in our opinion, more visually pleasing (thanks to Mythical for most of this one).
- Fixed the ‘Cinematic’ preset settings ‘stickiness’ issue, which caused some settings to be stuck on Cinematic after the preset was used, even after changing to another preset, such as Low, Medium, High, etc.
v2.0.4
Build Date 6/16/2021
- Added French Language file (thanks to Raphoulfifou for the translation!)

[Shaders] error: Invalid program: “composite2”
what kind of hardware can run this on 1440p and 60fps ???!!
Cause I have gtx 1080 and 16gb of ram and a i5 4690 and i can’t run minecraft with shader 1080p 60fps ???
Just to be clear The witcher 3 run 90 and 60 fps on ULTRA
minecraft shaders don’t offload onto your GPU like a game such as the witcher can. You need a really good cpu (preferably with very high SINGLE THREADED performance, good candidates are the i7-4790k and i7-4770k), and your gpu really doesn’t matter so much in this case.
you have a 4000 series intel cpu socket so that’s good. try and get your hands on a 4790k and overclock it if you can. that’s your best bet.
Why is the moon so bright? (if there’s a way to fix it, please my immersion is at steak)
WOW GOOD SHADERS HOW DO YOU GET THE GREATEST SHADERS MAN!!!!
Search MC forge and download one .
Does this work with optifine?
every time i load in and activate the shader it works but when i destroy a block the game crashes. Anyone know how to fix this
just a white screen now.
It worked for me before, but then it decided to say F u to me and corrupt. Tried redownloading it, deleting the shader pack folder, reinstalling optifine and shaders mod, reinstalled forge, but nothing works.
